A Joint Statement of Intent (JSI) has been signed between FSSAI and BfR and BVL of Germany on cooperation in food safety in October, 2015. BfR (The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) is the risk assessment agency in Germany while BVL (the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety) is responsible for risk communication and risk management.
