Standards of Natural mineral water are specified in Sub Regulations 2.10.7 of FSS(FP & FA) Regulations, 2011.Natural mineral water is water from underground sources that is packaged close to the source, characterizedbyitscontentofcertainmineralsaltsandtheirrelativeproportionsandthe presenceoftraceelementsorofotherconstituents, collectedunderconditionswhichguaranteetheoriginalmicrobiologicalpurityandchemical compositionofessentialcomponents;and specified quality standards without any treatmentsother than those permitted by the said standards specified for Mineral water.
