Candidates in final year can appear for the examination of JAE but their certificate of JAE will be subject to passing of their degree.

The educational qualification is acceptable for applying in JAE.

No, each year a candidate will have to appear fresh for both the papers of theory examination of JAE.

FSSAI adopts the test methods of other national / international bodies as well as formulate its own test methods where there is no test method available worldwide. In both the cases, test methods are validated /standardized by the laboratories before conducting analysis.

FSSAI has constituteda Scientific Panel on Methods and Sample Analysis and a Methods Review Group (MRG) for finalizing the test methods.

Methods Review Group (MRG) gives its recommendation regarding adoption of a method or developing a new method to Scientific Panel on Methods of Sampling and Analysis. Panel’s recommendations are forwarded to Scientific Committee and the Authority for adoption/implementation.

FSSAI Manual of Methods of Analysis is a document for food testing laboratories under the purview of FSSAI covering validated National Methods like IS Methods and/or International Methods like AOAC, ISO, Codex, APHA, BAM etc. for analysis of food products tested under FSS Act, 2006.

JAE is a qualifying examination for candidates working in the field of food testing and analysis & is not for employment purposes. Hence, number of seats is not fixed.
