JAE ranking serves as an eligibility criterion for FBOs/laboratories who choose JAE qualified candidates to work in their laboratories. This will also enable these JAE qualified candidates to acquire the mandatory 3 years of experience required to appear in the Food Analyst Examination (FAE).
How much a person has to pay for testing of food products?

In case of change of name or change of premises, the laboratory needs to inform/intimate FSSAI one month in advance and also immediately after the change. The laboratory has to submit all the required documents again like NABL certificate and Scope, New agreement indicating the New Name or Address as the case may be.
Does the laboratory require to pay application processing fees or security fees again in-case of name change or premises change.
The laboratory is not required to pay any fees again for change in name of the laboratory and change in address of the laboratory except in case of change of ownership.

FSSAI has an intensive online portal for monitoring the laboratory details and the samples tested by them, called as INFoLNET (Indian Food Laboratory Network). Also, since FSSAI notification is based on the NABL accreditation which ensures reliable testing of food products.
