Information technology has made a profound impact on availability and accessibility of E-resources. FSSAI recognizes the importance of keeping abreast of the latest scientific endeavors as well as its role in promoting research in areas important to the food safety.FSKAN will provide quick and comprehensive access to scientific knowledge/ literature at one place by using best possible tools and techniques. E-Resources under FSKAN will provide access to authoritative, accurate, current, objective reference material pertaining to food safety to scientists in order to refer for various purposes like standard setting process, risk assessment, decision making on important food safety issues etc.
A consortium of E-journals, leading research papers and articles pertaining to food safety, hygiene and nutrition will be developed.The Consortium shall provide current as well as archival access to food related articles, peer-reviewed journals, research thesis and bibliographic databases. E-Resources will provide us withliterally thousands of e-books, e-magazines and other publications.
