National Productivity Council (NPC)

FSSAI signed a MoU with NPC  on 01.08.2017 initially for a period of 3 years to promote cooperation in the field of the Food Safety Training and Capacity building in the country. The general areas of collaboration would be:

• NPC will work as a Training Partner under FoSTaC with FSSAI
• NPC may integrate the FoSTaC course with their existing training courses for Productivity Practitioners for students of Food Technology and other equivalent / recognised qualification in different Central/State Universities
• Organise joint workshops on building awareness on Food Safety among Food Business Operators as consumer
• Training facilitation
• NPC can also provide a tie up with International Experts from Asian Productivity Council (APO)
• NPC can organise international study mission for FSSAI officials to APO member countries
• Digitization of training manuals

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

FSSAI signed a MoU with IGNOU  on 12.12.2017 initially for a period of 5 years to establish collaboration for implementation of Food Safety Training & Certification (FoSTaC) programme and Capacity Building Activities in Food Safety and Ancillary Discipline through and IGNOU’s and FSSAI’s infrastructure and faculties. The general areas of collaboration would be:

• IGNOU will work as a Training Partner under FoSTaC with FSSAI
• IGNOU may facilitate FSSAI in the issued related to translation, regionalisation, revision and upgradation of training content
• Development of multi-media programme and MOOCs programme.
• Transmission of FoSTaC Courses through IGNOU broadcast facilities
• Integration with ongoing programmes
• Sharing of facilities and resources
